“Once Uppon a tYme”
This was my first short at Savannah College of Art and design. I had the privilege of working with some really top notch animators. All of them went on to have success in the industry.
I was responsible for the rigging pipeline , tools, and some of the texturing . The hippo was fun because I only had to focus on making his upper body look good. Looking back on there there is so much that can be improved , but I guess that is what happens when you look at your work years later. Still I think it holds up.
It was a lot of work and we were really happy with the results. It won best student animation at SIGGRAPH in 2007 I think. In any case, enjoy the silly!
